Watering Restrictions
The City of Sebastian has adopted an amended water restriction ordinance to comply with new St. Johns River Water Management District regulations. We ask that you abide by the new regulations as follows:
Landscape Irrigation Schedule
- Landscape irrigation at odd numbered addresses must only occur on Wednesday and Saturday and must not occur between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily.
- Landscape irrigation at even numbered addresses or no address must only occur on Thursday and Sunday and must not occur between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily.
There are exceptions, variances, and enforcement provisions which will be a part of the ordinance. A copy of the ordinance is available via the City's WebLink Services and here via the following link: https://weblink.cityofsebastian.org/WebLink/DocView.aspx?id=41989&cr=1.
However, air conditioning systems utilizing water source heat pumps shall be permitted to utilize the discharge water of said system for irrigation purposes at any time notwithstanding any provision of this article to the contrary.
City Council can further the restriction when needed by adoption of a resolution declaring an emergency.
